FAQ

I have limited experience/never been fishing before, will this be a problem? Absolutely not! In fact, we encourage all those who are a bit hesitant to reach out to us on our Contact page with any questions or concerns you may have before booking a session! This experience is all about you and discussing your expectations; this might be an introduction to fishing with some sight seeing or maybe you’re interested in learning all there is to know - it’s all up to you! We’re here to listen to your wants and needs!

What all is included in the day? With either session time (1/2 or Full Day), you can expect a majority of the day to be devoted to fishing and being in the boat. A 15 minute break will be offered for 1/2 Day sessions and a 30 minute break for Full Day sessions. These breaks will typically include an opportunity to get out and stretch your legs and/or use the facilities. This will not be counted towards your total session time. If additional breaks are needed, please be sure to let our Captain know so we can discuss and make arrangements!

What do I need to bring? The only thing we ask that you bring is weather appropriate clothing (rain jacket, sweatshirt, gloves, etc), a hat of your choosing, sunscreen, and any snacks or other items you may find necessary while outdoors. A dry bag will be provided to you for items like car keys, sunglasses, or other smaller personal belongings. All fishing gear is provided to you so there's no need to worry about purchasing or bringing along your own gear!

What kind of beverages are allowed on the boat? We encourage you bring water as a primary beverage while on the boat, especially during warmer months. You’re welcome to bring other beverages including sports drinks, soda, coffee, etc. if you wish! We apologize but NO ALCOHOL will be allowed on the boat during the scheduled session time.

What if I have a party size larger than 3? For safety, a max of 4 people will be allowed on the boat at one time. This includes our Captain and 3 other people. For parties larger than this, we’ll ask that the party be split between multiple appointments that will be charged as stated on our Pricing page.

How do we book and pay for a session?    Cash is preferred

What if I need to reschedule a session?

No worries, just call and we would happily look for another day for you.

I see you offer fillet services free of charge, what does this mean? If you choose to keep a legal fish, our Captain will clean and fillet the fish for no additional charge. The fillets will be provided to you in a clean, plastic bag on site. 

What if i don't want to fish.   No problem.   If you just want to tour around Redwing or Lake Pepin area to see the wildlife and scenery we can do that too.   Don't forget your camera!!!
